Subject: Re: Hole & Pad sizes

: Is anyone aware of a chart that would show the best hole and pad sizes for various gauges of wire? Thanks in advance...

Hi Bob
We do not have a chart with this data. But as an approximation if you have a standard component(ex Resistor) where the pin width is approx 0.7mm then the hole size should be about 0.2mm bigger. The correpsonding pad should then be 0.4mm bigger than the drill. As the width of the component pin gets bigger then the 0.2mm increase should get bigger also. But as a rule the pad size should always be 0.4mm bigger than the drill. I hope this is of help to you.
